The Words Behind US Reach
- Access key
- The long link starting with ss:// that you paste into the Outline app. One key is tied to one US IP. Each plan includes a set number of keys; use one key per account. Setup guide
- Account region
- The country stored on your account from when it was created, shown in some app settings. It affects things like which store or features you see. It is not what decides who sees your videos; that is content region. Account region vs content region
- Clean IP
- A US IP address that is not on the lists platforms use to flag VPN and bot traffic, because few people use it and they use it like normal creators. VPN To US keeps IPs clean by capping every server at 100 users. How it works
- Content region
- The country a platform assigns to each post, decided mostly from the IP address your device uses when you open the app and upload. It determines the first audience a video is tested on. This is what a US IP changes. How TikTok reads location
- Country check
- Our free tool that shows the country platforms detect from your current connection. Run it with the VPN on; it should say United States. Run the country check
- First test audience
- The small group of viewers a platform shows a new video to before deciding how far to push it. The group is chosen near the content region, which is why posting from a US IP puts American viewers in it. What creators see after switching
- IP address
- The network address of your connection. Every app reads it, and platforms map it to a country. It is the strongest everyday location signal, read on every open and every upload. Every signal TikTok reads
- IP rotation
- When a VPN hands you a different IP every session. Platforms read that as an unstable or hidden location. VPN To US does the opposite: your key keeps one US IP for as long as you stay. Why consistency matters
- Low-density IP
- An IP shared by a small number of people. Consumer VPNs put tens of thousands of users on one address, which platforms recognise. VPN To US allows at most 100 creators per server. VPN To US vs NordVPN
- Outline
- The free, open-source VPN app from Jigsaw, a Google company, available for iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and Linux. You paste your access key into it and tap Connect. Setup guide
- Region lock (90 days)
- A TikTok rule that limits how often the account region can be changed in settings. It does not lock content region, which is read from your connection every time you post. The 90-day region lock explained
- Residential US IP
- An IP registered to a US home internet provider, used by you alone, offered as the Residential plan. Most creators do not need one; it is for TikTok LIVE, ad accounts and high-value accounts. Residential plan
- Server cap
- The maximum number of customers on one VPN To US server: 100. When a server is full, new customers go to a new server; existing keys never move. How it works
- Shadowban
- When a platform quietly stops distributing an account's posts without telling the creator. A common trigger is posting from a flagged, overcrowded VPN IP. The content itself can trigger it too. Why shadowbans happen
- US peak hours
- The times of day when American viewers are most active on each platform, converted to your local time zone. Posting inside them gives the first test audience more people to test on. Best time to post
- Warmup
- The first days with a new or relocated account: connect, browse and watch like a US viewer before posting, so the platform builds a normal picture of the account before it has to distribute anything. TikTok warmup guide
