What Creators See After Switching
Before
Posting from outside the US, creators typically see 5 to 15 percent of views from the US. The platform tests every video on viewers near the IP first.
The switch
A clean US IP that never rotates. The platform now reads the United States on every open and every upload from that device.
After
Over two to four weeks of consistent posting, the reported US share climbs to 80 to 95 percent. Local followers keep seeing you; US viewers are added.
How to read your own numbers
Every platform shows where your viewers are. Note the split before you connect, then compare after two weeks of posting.
TikTok
Open your profile, then TikTok Studio or Creator tools, then Analytics. The Viewers tab lists top territories for the period you pick. Look at the last 7 and 28 days.
Open Professional dashboard, then Insights. Under Audience you will find top locations by country and city. Reels insights show the reach per video as well.
YouTube
Open YouTube Studio, then Analytics, then the Audience tab. Scroll to geography for the country split, and use the Shorts filter to see new videos only.
New videos move first. Old videos keep the audience they already found, so judge the shift on posts made after you connected.
What moves, and when
Day 1
The country check says United States. Nothing in your analytics has changed yet; the platform has not tested a new post from the new IP.
First posts
New videos get their first test pool from US viewers. You may see US views on a new post while old posts still show your home country.
Weeks 2 to 4
The 28-day country split tips towards the US as new posts outnumber old ones in the period. This is where most creators notice the change.
Followers
Follower location lags views by weeks, because it only moves as new people follow you. Judge views first, followers later.
What a US IP does not change
Results mean where your content is tested, not how it performs there.
Views and followers
US viewers see your video first. Whether they watch to the end, like it or follow you is decided by the video.
Virality
No IP makes a video take off. Consistency, niche and hook do, and they are yours.
Account history
An account that was flagged for what it posted stays flagged. A clean IP is a clean start for the signal, not for the account.
